Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Store owners: name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account; your store's name, branding (logo, banner, colors), products, and contact details you choose to display; your subdomain and, if you add one, your custom domain.

Store customers: when someone checks out on a store built with Ekiavụ, we process the name, email, phone number, and shipping address they enter to fulfil that order. We do not require customers to create an account.

Payment information: we never see or store card numbers. Storefront payments are processed directly by the store owner's own Paystack account, and the Ekiavụ platform subscription fee is processed by App Guts' Paystack account. Paystack's own privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.

2. How we use information

• To operate your store and process orders placed on it
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure
• To bill the monthly platform subscription and communicate about your account
• To provide support when you contact us
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform

3. Who we share information with

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make Ekiavụ work: Paystack (payments), Cloudflare (image storage), Vercel (hosting), and our database provider. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in to your dashboard. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep account and order data for as long as your store is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. Store owners are responsible for handling similar requests from their own customers.
